Sciton Halo (Skin Resurfacing)

HALO laser treatment

Halo Laser Treatment is one of the most powerful and comprehensive skin rejuvenation lasers available today. Halo is a complete skin rejuvenation treatment that provides improvements in tone and texture as well as the reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR SCITON’S Halo laser treatment?

If you’re an adult over the age of 21, in general good health, and you’re noticing the signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, or other skin issues, you are most likely an ideal candidate. A consultation will determine whether you’re eligible for this treatment.

HOW IS A halo laser TREATMENT PERFORMED?

A topical numbing cream is applied prior to your Halo laser treatment for your comfort. The integrated cooling technology also means you should feel little to no pain during your procedure. You may also feel heat and an occasional prickling sensation. Special eye-wear will also be provided to protect your eyes during the treatment.

Using the three pre-programmed levels, your physician can control depth and wavelength, measure your skin temperature, change the density of energy and pulse width, and measure and adjust the scanning speed. It allows your physician to customize the treatment and provide you with amazing results. Most Halo procedures take about half an hour depending on which areas of the skin you have treated.

RECOVERY FROM THE HALO laser treatment EXPERIENCE

There is little downtime with a Halo laser treatment, but keeping your skin protected over the first 4 weeks after the procedure is important. Many people go back to their normal routine after 24 hours, and their recovery can take a few days. You will notice a bronzing effect on your skin which will begin to feel rough after 3-4 days or so. You can apply makeup as soon as the day after the procedure.

On average, your new rejuvenated skin will begin to appear after 5-7 days. You won’t have the noticeable effects typical of previous lasers, which could leave your skin looking peely, sore and red for many days. The full results of a Halo treatment can take up to 6 months.
