Microneedling is a minimally-invasive skin resurfacing treatment aimed at treating signs of aging and improving the appearance of your face. This procedure is also known as collagen induction therapy, as it works by creating mini injuries to the targeted areas to encourage the skin’s natural healing process.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR MICRONEEDLING?

Most any healthy adult can be a candidate for the microneedling procedure. Because of its low-risk profile, this procedure is a viable option for those who are not candidates for laser resurfacing for skin rejuvenation.

Microneedling is great for skin rejuvenation including those with issues such as:

HOW IS MICRONEEDLING PERFORMED?

Microneedling is delivered with a handheld technology which contains several very small needles at one end. A topical numbing cream is applied to the skin before the procedure. The needles microscopically penetrate the skin, creating channels for regrowth of collagen and elastin in the skin.

Recovery from Microneedling

Most people experience little downtime after the microneedling procedure is complete. Mild swelling and redness may occur after the procedure, and while healing times may vary from individual to individual, most can expect to see results within 2-4 days, but results may take up to 6 months as the collagen in your skin continues to rebuild and help revitalize your skin.
